What Makes The Green Grass Grow?


As promised, here are some fully painted photos of the objective marker I created in the "Trash or Treasure: Empty Sprues" post. I decided to keep the spikes black so the eyes are naturally drawn to the subject of the piece (the heads). Now that I have finally used it, I really like static grass (just don't sneeze or blow near the open tub. That stuff flies...). Enjoy!

Tutorial: Metallic Carapaces

 

Lately, I have had many questions about how I get the metallic green color for the carapaces on my wife's Tyranid models. It is such a simple process, I guarantee any of you can do it, no matter what your painting level is. First, I started off with a little bit of inspiration....
