I want to be a Space Marine!

I probably sound like a little kid right now, but really, I want to be one! I finally got a chance to play the Space Marine and Kill Team demos on my XBox 360, and I must say, I'm in the camp of people that LOVE the games.

A Chance Meeting

I was at Game Kastle yesterday browsing around, and as luck would have it, who else would I run into but

Playing and/or Promoting at Game Kastle tonight...

If anybody is going to be at or around Game Kastle (on Coleman Avenue in Santa Clara, Ca) tonight, I'll be there by 6PM at the latest to (hopefully) get some game time in, and I will also have models there for anyone to look at if they are interested!

Come on down! It's Warhammer Fantasy/40k night (every Thursday!) and you're sure to meet some great people, see some wonderful armies being played, and possibly even find a new opponent/friend if you bring your army!

Now that I have introduced myself, I thought I would give you all a quick overview of my start down the road into the hobby of miniature wargaming....

Hello and welcome!

Welcome to Deep Strike Painting!

Starting off with a little introduction. My name is Reuben, and I am a California Bay Area gamer. I currently play Warhammer 40,000, and I own just about a little over 2,000 points worth of Blood Angels. I also have a small contingent of Orks I am working on, and a slowly growing swarm of Tyranids I am doing for my wife. The pages for these armies are still under construction, but the photos have been posted up for you all to see.

I will be offering commission building/painting services for whatever gaming system you might play, whether it is Warhammer (Fantasy or 40k), Warmachine, Lord of the Rings, miniatures for RPGs, or anything else you might play that needs a touch of paint or glue. I am also open to special requests, such as terrain and battle scene dioramas. Just let me know what you're looking for, and I'll let you know what I can do! I'll be posting details in the "Commissions" tab soon.

This is my first blog, and I'm working on ideas for content I can provide to you, my readers. I have a few topics of my own in mind, but I would like to open the floor for you to give some input.
